BLG Machinery is the Group’s heavy equipment division. The fleet exists first to move the Group’s own material: chrome and copper, across South Africa and Namibia. Where there is capacity beyond that, the same machines and the same crews go out on other people’s jobs, at the same standard.
The machines, the operators and the maintenance all sit in one place. That structure is the reason a client gets one number to call and one team to answer for the result, rather than a chain of sub-contractors pointing at each other when a number moves.
The fleet is anchored by 2025-model DEVELON equipment and backed by a strategic partnership with Doosan Equipment: current-generation machinery today, and the supply relationship to scale as the Group’s pipeline grows.

One group, four specialist divisions.
From Pretoria roots in 2016, Black Lion Group has grown into a multi-sector enterprise spanning four specialist branches: property, mining, heavy machinery and smart-home automation. Today the Group stewards more than R500 million in assets across South Africa, Namibia, Italy and the United States.
Each branch is a specialist business in its own right, and a working partner to the others. Machinery keeps mining moving, and automation fits out property. Together, they are the Group.
